Joseph Parker stepped onto the scales nearly 20 pounds heavier against Fabio Wardley as both big men displayed confident appearances - even if in different styles - leading up to Saturday's feature bout in the UK.

From New Zealand Joseph Parker is risking his interim WBO title and chance to compete for the global championship on the line against the unbeaten Wardley at the London venue.

Reigning heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has made clear his plan to retain his championship titles versus the successful fighter.

"This is the moment. It represents everything," remarked a determined but concentrated Wardley, 30, at Friday's pre-fight ritual.

Wardley - possessing the WBA 'interim' belt - registered at 110 kg, in line with his recent bouts.

"This contest before the big one. All the work is done. Preparation is completed. The grueling sessions is put in. Now for some downtime now. Big night tomorrow," he continued.

The East London market in London's east end hosted more than typical items on the scales as the both heavyweights faced off for the final time prior to the main event.

Joseph Parker flashed a wink at the camera and swayed along to the tunes.

Showing off his strength, he looked hefty and strong as he tipped the scales at 119 kg, only 5lb lighter than his career-heaviest.

It is a far cry from the 107 kg fighter who lost his championship to AJ in the year 2018.

"We're weary, we are wary, but I'm going to match him blow for blow and I intend to connect with him," Joseph Parker declared.

Fabio Wardley, sporting an football shirt, held a focused look, acknowledged the audience, but appeared concentrated.

He may be the lighter guy, Fabio Wardley has superb knockout power. He produced a dramatic comeback facing his opponent in last June, trailing on the judges' cards prior to stopping his foe in the final round despite being outmaneuvered for the majority of the contest.

"His opponent, his camp and the sport's followers will learn I am destined to be at the peak of this division," Fabio Wardley affirmed.

"All challengers has been the boxer experts claim will beat me. This is that fight. He is exceptional pace, rapid, highly seasoned. However My record is perfect so far, and no challenge will shift tomorrow night."
