Former Doctor Faces Sexual Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Patients

Legal authorities have stated that a ex- physician now faces charges for committing assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were patients.

The Serious Charges

The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – some of which involve acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.

A senior CPS official stated, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a thorough and intricate police inquiry, meticulously examining the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”

The Investigation

The charges come after what investigators described as a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.

Spencer is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

List of Offences

The charging documents said the 45 charges include:

• 15 counts of assault.
• 17 counts of assault by penetration.
• Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
• 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
• 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
