Loyal supporters of Ariana Grande are demanding that a individual who breached a barricade and grabbed the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A circulating footage reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing camera operators and lunging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a promenade flanked by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being taken in", though official papers indicated that he was due to be present on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was charged.

Pattern of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile includes clips of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last December.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is evidently a legal violation," commented an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user remarked.

Fans Express Concern Over Grande's Well-being

Numerous supporters accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said one more response on Instagram.

A number of supporters also criticised guards at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while some called for social media platforms to block Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Event Details

In footage shared widely, Grande seemed startled when she was approached by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of supporters had assembled in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The motion picture, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a two-film adaptation of the well-known Broadway and West End production Wicked, which focuses on the surprising friendship between two distinct characters.

The production itself is a adaptation of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning film of 2024 in the UK, and earned ten Academy Award nods, securing two for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
